From “Don in Massachussets

Much is being made, and quite rightly, about the attempts by politicians to control and stifle free speech on the internet.  However one does rather wonder how much political ire at the Internet is actually driven by the fact that the Internet is not a dignified medium.  Stiff, starched, and pompous, Politicians like their media exposure to be deferential and dignified.

I mean it’s just not acceptable for the peasants to poke fun at their masters is it?
